Exchange Program

The Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg promotes the state's young art scene in numerous ways. In addition to the awarding of annual grants, it also offers a variety of exchange programs. The objective here is to give young artists from Baden-Württemberg the opportunity to produce work in a new location for a given period of time, creating new sources of inspiration and opportunities to expand ones international network. International artist exchanges are currently organised in partnership with the Institut Français and Hangar, a centre for cultural production in Barcelona and Viafarini, an organization for contemporary art in Milan. Artists from Baden-Württemberg can apply for residencies in Strasbourg, Valence, Barcelona and Milan. In return, the Foundation in Stuttgart provides a studio and living space for guest artists from the partnership institutions.
